I use Google Meet when working online. No-one else will be in the meeting (though parents are of course welcome to sit in). I work from a private room, using my tablet to write display notes. Any notes I make / resources we have used are shared with the student at the end of the lesson.
Travel permitting, I am willing to visit a student in their home. I bring necessary resources, though it is useful for a student to have a laptop available if possible. I regularly visit areas such as Marlow, Maidenhead, Ascot, Taplow, Burnham, Cookham, Wooburn. Others - Beaconsfield, Wycombe, Langley may also be possible. Please just ask!
All of them! For both Physics, Maths and Further Maths, local schools offer a range of exam boards, and so do I. I am well accustomed to all of them, have appropriate resources for them all, and tailor everything I do to make sure it is the correct style for whichever exam board you take.
I have text books / revision guides for all the courses. For certain courses, such as Alevel Edexcel Maths and AQA Physics, I also have large amounts of extra materials not usually available to students.
No! I work with every student / parent to provide whatever they need, either long-term or short-term. I also understand that people get ill and emergencies happen. All I ask is that you use whatever times we have agreed, and let me know with as much warning as possible if you cannot.
Yes! Some students ask me for help with UCAS, or University entrance exams. or to help deliver a whole A-level that they are taking outside of school. I was a Head of Department for many years, worked with Oxford a lot to encourage students with Oxbridge applications, and ran the UCAS process at schools. If you think I might be able to help, please just drop me a line.
Yes. I regularly update my enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check and I am registered with their 'Update' service.
